Step 5: Autoscheduler

This is the heart of Visigoth, and also the easiest interface to use.
Simply click “Generate new automatic schedule” to start generating one. It should take 1—5 minutes to think (it will print its progress). Once it is done, you can click “Adopt…meetings, replacing existing” to adopt the proposed schedule. That’s it.

By default, it will only replace unlocked meetings. You can change this from the “Replace Meetings” menu, where:
  1. “Replace none, only add meetings” will only add meetings without changing anything. It is useful if you have some last-minute participants.
  1. “Replace unlocked meetings” is the default behavior. This is helpful to preserve manually scheduled meetings.
  1. “Replace all, even locked meetings” is used to wipe the slate clean and start again.
Every time you click on the “Adopt” button, Visigoth saves the state of the program before and after applying the meetings. If you accidentally override your schedule you can undo that by going to the load/save tab and loading the pre-autoscheduler save.
